2000/X,AUDI A4 1.8 SE,RED,PETROL,MOT/TAX-SPARES/SALVAGE @ A4

  THIS CAR IS SOLD AS SPARES OR REPAIRS, the winning bidder will need a trailer or similar to collect the car as it is not running properly at the moment, the engine will start &  run ok but it pops & splutters if reved above 2500 rpm, and sounds like its choking, i had it put on diagnostic equipment and the errors it had listed were   P1516 – Intake Manifold Changover Valve Open Circuit. The garage wasnt sure what this fault is but guessed its a sensor somewhere and expected me to just keep paying for & replacing sensors until they found the right one which im not willing to do due to cost.
I dont know enough about engines to be able to sort it and i simply dont have any money to throw at it to put it in a garage at the moment as i spent over ?500 on it doing the MOT and having it serviced (including the cambelt changed) a few weeks before it broke down so it will have to be sold as is. I’m fairly certain its something simple thats wrong with it and it did run perfect before this problem which just started one day then got worse & worse over about a week. I have it advertised locally at ?1100 which i feel is a fair price considering  whats been spent on it and if i was to break it i would get more than this so i reserve the right to end the auction early if it should sell before the end of the auction.   It is registered in my name at my address and i have the registration document V5 in my posession along with quite a lot of service history and receipts for work that has been done on it (including what i’ve just spent on it), it also has a car data check printout that shows no accidents, outstanding finance or anything like that, LOCATION: The car is located at BURNLEY, Lancashire, BB11 postcode area and just a few mins from JN10/M65. . EXTERIOR: On the exterior of the car there are a few minor scratches/stone chips here & there most of which will polish out but nothing that wouldnt be expected for the age of the car & one small ding in the rear drivers side door that looks like a supermarket trolly ding, there is a small patch on the front bumper where the paint is a little dull, other than these small Imperfections the exterior is in excellent condition. The car is classed as a shade of red although it does look more Burgundy in colour The car has a set of 5 alloy wheels with good tyres, there are a couple of minor scrapes on the wheels but they are very light and for the year of the car are in excellent condition. It Currently has lexus rear lights fitted but i do still have the original rear lights that i can refit if required – just let me know if you want them refitting in plenty of time before collection.if you require the original lights the removed lexus style lights will not be included in the sale, just the same as the original lights will not be included if you want to keep the lexus lights.   INTERIOR:  The cars interior is in very good clean condition for the year, i am a non smoker so it does not smell of stale smoke or anything like that. It has a few light signs of wear but nothing that stands out and all the seats are i good clean condition with no tears, splits or burns.The cars instrument panel lights up bright and even and the center clock display is fully funtioning with no lines in the display. all the lights, heaters, switches and instruments ect are in working condition. In the boot there is a spare wheel (matching alloy), original audi warning triangle, and wheel kit with the jack,locking wheel nut, wheel spanner ect. It is currently showing just over 112000 miles which is nothing for these engines and looking through the service history and past MOT’s i have no reason to think this wouldn’t be correct, when running right it certainly drives like a car with less miles.
