Dual Fuel – Unleaded / LPG
I have owned this car for 5 years and have had no problem with it, apart from brake pads and discs wearing out, this has been a remarkably reliable and trustworthy vehicle.
It is 11 years old so it does show some signs of wear and tear but it geniunely is in very good condition. The only points to meniton are that the cup holders no longer work and the small decorative plastic plate behind the gear stick is missing. it is approx 15cm x 3cm and i have not had the chance to get a replacement. There is no rust or scatches / dents on the outer bodywork except for the tiny marks from car wash brushes but i thought i should mention them for accuracy.
The mileage is a little high at 160,000 but this is mostly motorway miles and she certailnly does not feel or show the mileage when driving or inside the cabin.
She comes with all the usual SE refinements and extras you would expect from BMW including:-
- dual climate control as an upgrade to the airconditioning
- multiple CD player / tape player and BMW professional stereo system with 6 speakers
- factory fitted sunroof in addiiton to the climate control
- cruise control and centre armrest
- black cloth seats with walnut inlay on door and dashboard.
- Fully fitted and serviced LPG gas system – cost ?2000 when fitted – to get half price motoring with no loss of performace
- powerful 5 speed automatic gearbox with sport mode
- fully serviced every 10,000 miles by a local BMW specialist
- will have a brand new MOT after the end of the auction
- she has recently had 4 new tyres and a new battery fitted at a cost of ?300.
LPG System
For those that have not had a car with one of these systems, there are many websites and leaflets available to explain the technical details and environmental benefits of owning a car with this fuel system or running a car with this type of system, in essence these are:-
1. The cost of gas is approximately half that of regular unleaded and there is virtually no difference in the performance or economy of the car when on gas or petrol. The car also switches automatically from the regular unleaded petrol to the gas when the engine is warm in the mornings and back to petrol when the tank is empty.
2. There are far less of the particulate and oxide emissions given off with the LPG fuel than regular petrol.
3. If you live or work in central London then the car is exempt from the congestion charge at any time – this means that the car can go into and out of the center of London without any charge at anytime.
4. The tank is located in the car boot so the spare wheel is still in the car and available if there is a a puncture.
5. The tank capacity is approximately 70 litres, on motorways a full tank will run for approximately 340 miles for ?35

The car is offered as collection only in Edinburgh, Scotland but i can arrange to have it delivered to any UK address for a cost of ?0.85 pence per mile from Edinburgh.

The winning bidder is bidding to buy not to look – if you want to inspect the car or have a report done before the auction finishes then you are most welcome.
I will require a deposit of ?100 after the auction ends and then cleared funds before the car can be driven away

This car is HPI clear and has the V5 in my name
