First up, I have to say sorry for the pictures, some of them seem a little bit dark and cloudy, that will learn me to keep my lense clean, oo er misses!
That said, pictures really cant represent this car in its true fashion. Its pretty dam straight, even if I do say so myself. There are a few marks on her, some touched up, some not, but this isnt the normal leaky old Orion, this one its water tight. All the mats and carpets are dry, the car having benefited from a new battery tray some years ago. It looks as the front panel has had some work around the same time. The only thing that lets it down a bit, are the small paint defects behind the rear bumper, and the small 5p sized hole near the boot hinge someone has put bathroom sealer to make it water tight. It never really upset me, and I’m hard to please. I was to interested in driving it to care about that. Both rear arches have been done in their time, but are starting to show their age, the O/S/F wheel arch has a strange paint defect, but its not rust.
Since I have owned it, which is about a year, I have fitted clear front indicators and wing repeaters which really bring her up to date. I have also had her serviced, including a new cambelt and water pump, and just for good measure, new thermostat. She starts first time covered in snow, ice, or tropical heat, and gets up to temperature nice and fast thanks to all the work I have put in. Lovely. On the subject of ice and snow, she still has her original hot screen fitted, which still clears 99% of the screen, only missing in small places. Now how many other Orions still have that?! She still has her little trip computer as well, and that shows, on a run, 38-44 mpg, and I would say thats pretty spot on. The sunroof doesnt leak, but the handle is a touch wonky, but it works like uncle Ford wanted. The tyres are all good, one of the original alloys is a little dulled, by I’m being fussy. All the locks work from one key, but sometime the O/S/R door fails to open on the central locking. Small things. It has a stereo fitted, but not the original. In fact, only the indicators and the stereo and non standard, its pretty much spot on. Not a concours example, but hey, if you want one of those, you will be spending huge money! I would say she needs a little bit of love, but only a little, to make her A1.
There is no tax on her at the moment as I let it slide as I ride a bike on most days.
She has a Full 12 month MoT
Nothing more to say really, if I think of anything else, I will let you all know.
Please come and see her before the auction ends, just to satisfy yourself all is as it should be. If you’re nice I will even make tea. I’m in Uxbridge, UB8, just off the A40 and M4, so no excuses!

Relisted now with a lower reserve, it really has to go people, really has to. Too many cars and not enough space. Give me a call to have a chat about it. Cheers, James
