For sale is my 1989 Golf GTI 8V. I am selling the car for spares or repairs because it unfortunately did not pass its MOT. The reasons for the MOT fail are shown in the pictures below. The car has also suffered some bodywork damage to the front and to the side panels. The car is now SORN and has been sat in the driveway for a while and no longer starts on its own. Therefore a trailer will be needed to take the car away. Good points: Recaro seats (front and back) with matching door cards, all of which are in good condition. BBS alloys. Electric windows. Electric seats. Power steering. Recon gearbox fitted 23/5/07. Relatively low mileage compared to many Golf GTIs of this age- 110600 miles (although the meter reads 66602 miles due to the dials being replaced before I purchased the car). Comes with many old MOT certificates, receipts for work done etc. Bad points: Bodywork damage to the front and side panels. Has been sat for a while in the driveway and so the car does not start anymore. This could be due to the battery going flat but not being a mechanic I cannot say for sure.
