Rare chance to own a Porsche 928GT Manual in black. Manual being the key word here. I bought this car in September 2008. Prior to purchasing this particular car I travelled all over the UK including Northern Ireland. Everything I looked at was rubbish and not as described. This isn’t rubbish. It’s a good example and looks stunning in black with the original refurbished magnesium wheels. The first serious buyer will buy this car as did I.
The car was a cat c/d write off and had a complete respray in 2006. There was no accident or structural damage. It was due to a fire under the bonnet. The parts alone from Porsche would have cost a fortune. As you can see from the photos it looks the business and has obviously been looked after. The interior is in good condition other than one area of wear on the drivers seat. I have receipts and invoices for parts and works carried out over approx the last 4 years. I did speak to Dick Lovett Porsche at Bristol who have some history of work carried out on this car going back quite a few years. They were mean’t to be sending a letter detailing work carried out. I didn’t pursue it, but I’m sure it’s still available.
Upon buying the car I had a new MAF and injectors fitted and a minor tune by Paul Anderson. It has also had a service and the brakes completely stripped and reassembled. In May this year it went to Paul Anderson for a full service / tune, plus minor repairs, re-gas the air con, etc. This bill came to over ?800.00. All the electrics work including sunroof, electric mirrors and electric boot opener. The air con also works. When it was re gassed recently a clip was renewed that was allowing the system to leak. The guy I bought the car off had the following work carried out not long before I bought it:New cambelt and tensionerNew engine mountsNew sump gasket (silicone)Re-trimmed door cards in leatherSteering rack serviceIntake manifold gasketsNew coils / plugs leads / distributor capBatteryAlarmI am selling this car for genuine reasons. I have four other classics. One has just come back from a complete rebuild, another is under way, I am therefore struggling with time and space. I will be sorry to see it go, as will the wife who takes it to work on nice days. If it doesn’t achieve a realistic price, I will hang on to it and use it when I can. I’m not desperate for the money, so please, no silly offers, or tyre kickers.Any questions please ring or email.
